Risk Assessment

The Comprehensive Full Body Checkup is helpful as a screening tool to detect any disease/conditions that may be prevalent or in their initial stages.
The Vitamin D and B12 tests are used to diagnose unexplained weakness, lethargy, fatigue or irritability.

Testing

The Comprehensive Full Body Checkup relies on both blood and urine samples. The blood sample is used to evaluate Blood Sugar fasting and Lipid Panel. Therefore, the blood sample is to be given after 12 hours of fasting. During the fast, the person can have water and regular medications but no food.
The Urine sample is ideally collected as the mid-stream sample of the first urine passed in the morning. However, in the absence of that sample, any standard mid-stream urine sample can be used.
What Preparations Are Needed for a Comprehensive Full Body Check-up?
The Comprehensive Full Body Checkup requires two different samples of blood and urine. For the blood test, since Blood Sugar Fasting and Lipid Profile are included in this test, 12-hour fasting is necessary before giving the sample.
This is to ensure accurate results during the test. While fasting, drinking water and eating regular medicines are allowed.
Another preparation that needs to be done is the presence of a plastic sterile container for the urine sample. The urine sample should ideally be the mid-stream sample of the first urine passed in the morning. This container should not be contaminated with any other substance as it can alter the result.
This is the only preparation required for this Comprehensive Full Body Checkup.
